Custom work, designed around your space
Studio 04 takes on a select number of custom projects each year — wall art, furniture and installations for homes, restaurants and commercial spaces. Every commission begins with a conversation and ends with something made to belong there permanently.
Wall Art
Original pieces designed around your dimensions and space
Installations
Larger scale work for commercial and hospitality spaces
How It Works
- Tell us about your space — dimensions, context, reference points
- We develop a direction — mood board with material and pattern references
- We confirm the scope — design, dimensions, material, timeline and price in writing
- We build it — made in our Toronto studio, delivered or installed
Splitstorm
2026 — GZ Art Co.
Two-panel circular wall sculpture in teak. Deep organic relief carving across split circular forms — each panel a study in topographic surface and natural light play. The grain of the teak amplifies the carved contour lines, making the wood itself part of the composition.
Scope: Two-panel wall sculpture — teak, deep relief CNC carving, natural oil finish, approximately 48 inches across
Goldstorm
2025 — Commercial hospitality commission, GZ Art Co
Large-scale organic relief installation commissioned through GZ Art Co for a hospitality space. A variation of the Sandstorm concept — fluid, wind-driven surface forms carved in white ash, finished in warm gold that allows the natural grain to show through. The piece shifts in character as light moves across it throughout the day
Scope: 48 x 48 inch organic relief wall piece — white ash, gold finish with visible grain, commercial hospitality, commissioned through GZ Art Co
Crucifix Design
2026 — Church commission, GTA
Full sanctuary design commission featuring a large-format illuminated crucifix installation with radiating panel work, warm-toned slat wall cladding and architectural framing elements. Multi-element project spanning the full altar wall. Designed and fabricated in collaboration with the church committee.
Scope: 10 feet x 8 feet crucifix design and fabricration, to accomate Glass light panels.
Journey Through Sri Lanka
2026 — Tirumalai Eats, GTA
Large-format layered wall installation exploring the architecture, landscape and culture of Sri Lanka across a single 8 x 4 ft composition. Iconic landmarks, wildlife and natural forms — Sigiriya Rock, Hindu Gopuram, colonial clock tower, elephants, seabirds and coastal scenes — are rendered in layered Baltic birch silhouettes set against a dark textured rock wall finish. Warm LED backlighting illuminates each element from behind, giving the piece depth and drama in low light.
Scope: 8 x 4 ft layered wall installation — Baltic birch, dark rock wall textured background, warm LED backlighting, multi-element Sri Lankan cultural narrative, restaurant commission GTA
